Workist Add-in for Outlook: now live on Microsoft Marketplace

Until now, getting the Workist Add-in for Outlook involved a small detour: download an XML manifest file, upload it, roll it out. That step is gone. The Workist Add-in is now publicly listed on Microsoft Marketplace (Microsoft AppSource) and can be installed directly from Outlook.

Key takeaways

  • The Workist Add-in for Outlook is now publicly available on Microsoft Marketplace.
  • It installs straight from Outlook via “Get Add-ins” – no manual XML file to provide any more.
  • Nothing changes about what it does: one-click draft replies, chat with your data and document status tracking all work as before.
  • New teams are up and running in minutes instead of waiting for a setup package.

What changes: the way in

Functionally, everything stays the same – what changes is how you get started. Previously the add-in had to be added through a manifest file that we provided. With the public Marketplace listing, that step disappears: you search for the add-in in Outlook, select it and install it, just like any other Outlook add-in.

For existing customers, nothing changes. For everyone introducing the Workist Inbox Agent or rolling it out to more teams, the path from kick-off to the first processed email gets noticeably shorter.

What the add-in does

Reply in one click

For recurring requests about delivery dates, availability or product details, the Inbox Agent produces a ready-to-send draft reply. Your team reviews it, adjusts it if needed, and sends.

Chat with your data

Emails without a standard answer can be handled without switching systems either: the relevant information from your connected systems is right there in Outlook.

Track every document

You keep an eye on processing status in Workist – from the incoming email through to the order landing in your ERP system. For orders, the Inbox Agent hands off to the Order Agent, which validates them against your master data and transfers them through the matching ERP integration.

How to find it

  1. In Outlook, go to “Get Add-ins” and search for “Workist”.
  2. Or open the add-in directly on Microsoft Marketplace and install it from there.

Frequently asked questions

Do existing installations need to be migrated?

No. Existing installations keep running unchanged. The Marketplace listing is an additional, simpler way to install – not a migration.

Do we need a specific Outlook version?

The add-in is delivered through Microsoft’s Outlook add-in platform and runs in current Outlook versions. Whether users can install it themselves or your administrators deploy it centrally depends on your Microsoft 365 settings.

Does the add-in replace the Workist platform?

No, it complements it. The add-in brings draft replies and context to where your team already works – the inbox. Processing, validation and the handover to your ERP system continue to run in Workist.

Conclusion

The add-in was already there – now it is simply easy to get. Rolling the Inbox Agent out to more teams no longer takes a setup package, just two clicks in Outlook.
